Sawyer is almost 6 weeks old- so he still spends a lot of time sleeping. This is his favorite way to nap: against someone's chest.

He still doesn't really like being changed, but he is becoming more interested in his surroundings and therefore more distractable.

The biggest news of late is that Sawyer took his first bottle. Dan has been very excited about the opportunity to feed his boy. The breastfeeding books, websites, and articles I have been scouring for information had all sorts of advice on introducing the bottle to a breastfed baby: make sure mom is out of the room, make sure baby isn't too hungry, or agitated, or sleepy, or too alert... pages and pages dedicated to accomplishing this apparently difficult task. I had briefed Dan on all the possible disaster scenarios so he wouldn't be frustrated if it took multiple attempts.

Luckily, Sawyer isn't up to the task of reading all the same literature because he decided that the bottle was absolutely no big deal and chugged 2 ounces of freshly pumped milk in two minutes flat.

And then he slept some more...
