...and walk down the driveway...
The farm gave us an amazing bounty this week: onions, potatoes, beets, basil, cabbage, and fava beans. Here is the amazing meal we made for Sunday night: stewed potatos and onions in an Ethiopian Berber sauce, roasted beets, and grilled Sea Bass (delivered from Maine when Mimi visited!)! Yum!
When Sawyer was born, we re-purposed my old messenger bag to lug his gear around. It has always been a little awkward to carry- we finally decided to get a little backpack for the purpose. We decided to plan ahead an get a little backpack that Sawyer might carry himself. Here he is trying it on. It is truly a tiny backpack but is longer than his entire torso!
Sawyer loves to walk to the neighborhood ponds (see previous pics of walking down the driveway). This requires walking down our driveway and across the street. We have been working on street-safety. He is learning the steps he needs to take before we walk into the street.
And finally...Sawyer's mobility is swiftly entering new dimensions. This new skill means that all our kitchen counters are accessible to the little guy- oy!
